The Stó:lō Research and Resource Management Centre includes a well equipped Geographic Information Systems Department that uses ArcGIS 10.x, Surferand Spatial Analyst software 8.0, . Our GIS program has linked scientific and community based knowledge in projects including traditional use studies, archaeology potential modeling, place names, cultural inventories and cultural heritage resource management planning.
Services provided by the GIS technicians include:
  • Physical development and land use plans
  • Spatial analysis
  • 3-D landscape modeling
  • Digitization/data capture
  • Graphics
